The week ahead...

Jason Samenow @ 11:53 PM

First day of spring and it's windy and cold with falling temps, go figure. As I write this late Sunday evening, the wind chill is in the teens.

Check out this great photo from Kevin Ambrose. Kevin's photographs do a wonderful job of telling the weather story. If you haven't checked them out, you need to -- many are remarkable.

In the week ahead, we go from winter to spring. We'll start off cold -- highs Monday will struggle to reach the mid 40s. Monday night will be clear and very cold with lows possibly in the high teens in the north and west suburbs to around 27 downtown.

Tuesday will continue cool, but with a full March sun, look for temps to recover to near 50.

Warm front will move through Tuesday night, setting the stage for springlike weather the rest of the week. Look for highs in the 60s, with little chance of rain.
