Broken record forecast...

Warm and sticky with scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms (30-40% chance of a storm each day where you live) ...
That's the forecast everyday for about the next week. Fronts are going to have a hard time moving southward, leaving us with an unstable atmosphere each afternoon.
The storms each afternoon/evening will be capable of torrential rain and frequent lightning. (By the way, if you didn't see the link Kevin provided in his comment in response to Friday's post, check it out. He captured an awesome lightning strike over the Jefferson memorial on Saturday night).
On a side note, I'd like to thank all of you visiting the site. Site traffic has been steady even as the weather has become less variable (or boring). As the dog days of summer approach, we're going to try to keep it interesting and, gradually, improve both the look and feel and the content of this site. If you ever have suggestions, feel free to post them publicly or email us privately. And keep visiting...
