Another sticky day...

Jason Samenow @ 7:13 AM

The humidity yesterday was more characteristic of the Gulf Coast than the Midatlantic --dewpoints across the area were in the mid 70s. Today, dewpoints will be closer to 70 which is still humid, but sticky as opposed to steamy.

The DC Area was fortunate in that yesterday it missed out on the downpours which seemed to soak most surrounding areas. Today, there is a slight chance of a shower or storm later in the afternoon or in the early evening, but the best chance of rain will be to our north and east.

Tomorrow, a risk of severe storms...more on that potential in tomorrow's post (up late tonight or tomorrow morning).

And finally, in the "as if you care" category, Gothamist (weather web log for NYC) interviews the guy who picks the local forecast music on The Weather Channel in its July 12 entry.
