FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 4PM FOR DC, ARLINGTON, PRINCE GEORGES AND MONTGOMERY COUNTY AND THE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA Record rains fell at all three airports yesterday, and it's still coming -- although the end is in site...
Washington Post article:
Heavy Rain Prompts Flood WarningThe forecastOne more wave of rain will move through this afternoon before it passes along with the slow moving cold front which has been the focus for all of the rain. Another 0.5" of rain or so is possible. Temperatures should remain steady, near 70.
Behind the front, clearing will be non-existent and skies should remain overcast through Sunday (at least). The good news is that rain chances Saturday night and Sunday are quite low -- so some outdoor activities may possible on Sunday.

Tropical UpdateA new (sub)tropical depression has formed southeast of Bermuda. It's likely to strengthen a bit and become Tropical Storm Vince in the next couple of days. The National Hurricane Center projects
westerly motion at least through 48 hours before the track becomes more uncertain. The system isn't likely to strengthen too much due to shear and limiting water temperatures.
