I'm confident: Another awesome Saturday

Jason Samenow @ 2:08 AM

High pressure is the dominant feature impacting our weather today. After a cold start (sub freezing in the 'burbs), temperatures will recover nicely, reaching the mid 60s under beautiful sunshine. It's a fantastic day to checkout fall foliage right in our backyard and to the south and east.

Today's forecast confidence: very high

Sunday should also be fantastic
, with temperatures approaching 70, although some high clouds will move in during the afternoon. Sunday morning's lows should range from the mid 30s in the suburbs to the low 40s downtown.

Sunday's forecast confidence: very high

Forecast Confidence

We are going to begin including forecast confidence in our posts. I may try different ways of expressing confidence--and try developing a scale and/or use graphics. Please let us know what you like/don't like and/or if these confidence communications don't make sense to you. We want to try to be innovative in the ways we express forecast uncertainty. More on this in the coming days/weeks.
