Dressing For Spring

Jason Samenow @ 10:00 AM

After record breaking high temperatures at National and Dulles airports yesterday, temperatures cool off just a shade today. But 70 degrees isn't too shabby.

Weekend Forecast (and Fashion Tips)

Expect partly sunny skies this afternoon with highs about 10 degrees cooler than yesterday -- in the 70 degree range (as opposed to near 80). I don't think we'll be hearing too many complaints with this forecast. It will be great weather to checkout the Shamrock Festival going on in Arlington. Bands, beer, food and fun. Check it out.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy and mild as a warm front moves through the area. There's about a 40% chance of showers after midnight. Unless you're partying really late, you shouldn't need an umbrella tonight. Low temperatures should be near 50.

After an isolated early morning shower or two, look for skies to brighten with very mild temperatures tomorrow. The afternoon will feature a mix of clouds and sun with highs 70-75.

With afternoon temperatures between 65-75, T-shirts will be comfortable all weekend long. For the weather enthusiast, Old Navy now includes the pictured T-shirt in its inventory -- which is sure to win style points for those sporting it. And while we're talking attire, The Washington Post tells us What (Not) to Wear given the arrival of springlike weather.
