Weekend Split Decision

If you have outdoor plans, today's the day -- as it should stay dry save a stray shower or thunderstorm this afternoon.
Mostly sunny skies this morning will likely give way to an increase in clouds in the afternoon. Shower chances are slim -- at about 30%, and most likely north of DC. They should not significantly affect outdoor plans but have an umbrella if, for example, you're headed out to the golf course. High temperatures should be in the low 70s. Rain chances increase to about 50% tonight as intermittent showers rotate through the area.

On and off showers are likely for Mother's Day as low pressure moves in from the Ohio Valley. Cloud cover will hold high temperatures in the low to mid 60s.
