AccuWeather: New website, same hurricane forecast
Since 1995, there has been an average of 12 named tropical systems after August 3, with 2005 the worst at 19 storms after that date...At present, there are no tropical depressions or storms in the Atlantic Basin, although the remnants of Chris and a disturbance southwest of the Azores are being monitored for further development.
...the ingredients that led to the AccuWeather.com forecast are still in place along the East Coast, and the window for the movement of tropical storms into the Northeast is going to open in the "prime time" of the hurricane season that is still ahead.
