Relief in the Nick of Time...

Jason Samenow @ 9:13 AM

After suffering through days of oppressive heat and humidity, we are now rewarded with a spectacular summer weekend.

Today

Forecast Confidence: Very HighSunny, warm and with low humidity. High pressure building in from the northwest will bring cooler and also dryer air to the region today. While full sunshine will allow temperatures to rise close to 90, humidity levels will be very comfortable with dewpoints in the upper 50s. Weather looks pretty good for the Legg Mason Tennis Classic at 2pm and 7pm. Mid to high 80s for the first semifinal and near 80 for the second, with clear skies. Also looking good for Redskins Fan Day.

Overnight hours will be mild but comfortable, with lows near 70 downtown, mid 60s in the suburbs.

Tomorrow

Forecast Confidence: Very HighJust like today: beautiful. High pressure will be centered over the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast , meaning full sunshine and comfortable humidity levels. High temps will again be near 90 and the air will feel dry.
