Summer Weekend To Have Summer Feel

Jason Samenow @ 12:52 AM

Today and tomorrow will be quintessential DC summer days: very warm and humid, not without the threat of a late day thunderstorm.

Today

Forecast Confidence: HighSticky, 25% afternoon/evening t'storm threat. Southerly flow ahead of an advancing cold front, will bring warmth and humidity. High temperatures will be 85-90 (closer to 85 where there are more clouds, closer to 90 where there are fewer), but heat indices will make it feel like 90-95 (dewpoints around 70). The probability of storms is low, but any that do form could produce locally heavy rain. Overnight, it will be muggy, with lows in the low 70s downtown -- upper 60s in the suburbs.

Please see Camden's post from yesterday for forecasts for events happening across the area during the weekend.

Tomorrow

Forecast Confidence: HighLike Saturday, higher rain chances. As the cold front slowly pushes through the area Sunday afternoon, the chance of showers or storms should increase to about 40% (from 25% today). High temps should again be 85-90.
