Are you into weather? Do you want to meet and interact with some of the leading meteorology professionals in in the DC Area? Are you interested in enjoying great food and fascinating speakers at monthly meetings? If you've answered yes to any of the above, you should consider joining the DC Chapter of the American Meteorological Society.
Information on how to join is available. The site also contains meeting information, volunteer opportunities, scholarship information, and our monthly newsletter.
Our next meeting is March 9 and will feature three authors of a number of outstanding weather books. Click here for more information. Over the last several years some of our meeting speakers have included local weathercasters Bob Ryan, Topper Shutt, and Doug Hill, NOAA Administrator Vice Admiral Conrad Lautenbacher, Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist, Ray Ban (Vice President for Meteorology at The Weather Channel), and many more...
