Flakes tonight?

Jason Samenow @ 2:27 AM

Expect a breezy but seasonable day today, with temperatures in the mid 50s. Tonight, a clipper will blast through bringing a good chance of showers. Given the warm surface temperatures, the precipitation will start as rain early in the evening. Even with the warm surface, temperatures aloft will be sufficiently cold for frozen precipitation, so I would not be surprised to see some graupel given the instability. And later in the evening (after midnight), some wet snow may fall but with no accumulation.

Yesterday, tragedy struck the Baltimore Inner Harbor as a microburst was the likely cause of a fatal boating accident. See this Washington Post article for more info.
