Weekend Forecast...and more

Jason Samenow @ 11:32 PM

Starting off with today, a weak front will move through late setting off a few WIDELY scattered showers. As has been the case recently, not a big deal. It will remain warm and humid, with highs in the 70s.

Saturday should be fantastic with high pressure building in from the north bringing dryer, and slightly cooler air. Highs should be right around 70.

Headed to the Foxfield races in Charlottesville Saturday? Weather looks great for that--partly sunny and near 73. (From here on out, I'll be giving a forecast for a select event happening in the Mid-Atlantic each weekend.)

Sunday is looking decent as well. Clouds will increase but any rain that falls should hold off until Sunday night. With an east wind, temps should remain around 70...cooler near the water.

Here's an interesting development in world of weather business...AOL and Weatherbug (owned by AWS) have joined forces and AOL's instant messaging software will now offer Weatherbug. The two companies believe the alliance will facilitate on-line weather conversations. That's all well and good, but everyone knows the #1 place to discuss DC weather is right here...
