Holiday Weekend Forecast...

Jason Samenow @ 11:03 AM

Starting with this afternoon, we may see a few scattered showers and storms but I don't expect them to become severe.

Saturday and Sunday will be absolutely fantastic with low humidity (particularly on Saturday), azure blue skies and comfortable temperatures. With full sunshine both days, don't forget to protect yourself from the sun. Sunscreen, sunglasses and a wide brim hat are a good idea. Check out the UV Index, which should be in the high to very high range (8-9). (The EPA and NWS just made some modifications to the Index)

It will be noticeably more humid on Monday, with the risk of storms late in the afternoon and evening. These storms may be strong, so stay tuned (keep that in mind for your Memorial Day barbeques).

I'm off to go see "The Day After Tomorrow" ... Reviewers seem to like or really hate this movie (more of the latter based on the sample I've seen). Those liking the movie praise the action and the special effects, but many slam the movie for a weak script, and for the absurd, implausible scenarios it portrays. I'll post my impressions over the weekend perhaps.
