Nasty complex of storms on the way... + The Weekend
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 11 pm tonight.
An impressive cluster of storms stretches on a curved line bending from north of Johnstown PA southwest through Clarksburg, West Virginia and into southern Ohio.
The storms have a history of wind damage. Hard to say how well they will hold together before arriving in our area, but heavy rain and lightning are a good bet. Scattered instances of damaging wind are possible as well. The timing of storms should bring them through the area between 9:30 and 11pm tonight.
Feel free to post comments.
Also, the weekend is looking hot and humid, with a slight chance of thunderstorms each evening. Highs will be near 90 both days. Both days look good for
heading to the beach or checking out the
Reston Arts Festival.
