Storms may be severe this evening...

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 9pm for the entire DC metro area. A line of storms has formed in eastern West Virginia and should intensify some as it moves east. The storms will reach the western suburbs around 8:30pm, inside the beltway around 9pm and will be affecting the eastern suburbs by 9:30 pm.
Most areas will experience heavy rain, gusty winds and lightning with these storms.
Some areas will see damaging winds and small hail.
An isolated tornado is possible but not likely.
