Could today be the day for real storms in the district?

With such a hot and humid day so far, it is not surprising for me to see lightning starting to streak the clouds outside my office here north and west of the city. The radar seems to show a pretty solid line forming just out of west Virginia which can easily turn severe as it continues to grow, so it looks like these storms may be here to stay.
With a heat index near 100, there is most definitly summer weather outside right now, so let us know what the conditions are near you, what do you see out that window as the day winds down?
It seems that the NWS has come out and put the area under a severe thunderstorm watch. Now if only they could get their radar to be a little more easy to read...
