This week, Office Space, and weather for the birds...

Jason Samenow @ 11:05 PM

Welcome back to work. Do you have a case of the Mondays (I rented Office Space over the weekend)? [Warning-the previous two links, and the next one, go to a site with a four-letter word, i.e. BS in the URL--probably best viewed/heard not in Office Space] Mother Nature may have a case, as we start the week off with a chance of storms late this afternoon or evening. These shouldn't be a big deal, as the front moving through is weak, Mkay?

Tuesday through Thursday looks pretty tranquil. Expect partly to mostly sunny skies, and temperatures generally in the mid 80s with average humidity. We may see the humidity creep up a bit by Friday and into the weekend. More on that in coming posts. You will want to be sure to consult CapitalWeather.com in planning your Independence Day weekend.

In the spirit of patriotism, I bring you this good news about our national emblem, courtesy of the Associated Press: According to conservation biologists, Hurricane Isabelle destroyed one quarter of Virginia's bald eagle nests. Fortunately though, all indications are that the most of the nests have been rebuilt.
