This week...

Jason Samenow @ 1:41 AM

Yes...I'm up late. Just back from the Big Easy. I was quite refreshed to land at BWI with temps in the low 60s after a week of sultry conditions in New Orleans.

Unfortunately, it looks like I'm bringing some of that humidity back with me. Some stickiness creeps back into the forecast beginning today. Expect increasing clouds and warmer temperatures. Highs should be between 80-85.

A slight chance of a shower Monday night, then a front approaches Tuesday bringing a better chance of storms. The Storm Prediction Center puts our area under a 'slight risk' of severe weather. More on that potential tonight or tomorrow morning.

Late Tuesday into Wednesday, the southern end of the front stalls over southern VA and a wave develops along it which may bring occasional showers through Wednesday night.

Thursday looks dry and seasonable before the next front approaches the area sometime late Friday or Saturday.

By the way, happy start of summer...if only the first full day of summer were the harbinger of things to come. Better move to San Diego if you want Sunday's weather all summer long...
