Monday's rain (what rain??)...

Josh Larson @ 9:19 AM

The immediate Washington, DC area was by and large spared from heavy rain yesterday. In fact, many locations saw only a few sprinkles or no measurable precipitation. Reagan National (DCA) reported 0.03"; Dulles (IAD) reported 0.15"; and Baltimore-Washington (BWI) reported trace rainfall.

You can see from this 24-hour radar rainfall estimate that most of the dynamics and heaviest precipitation were focused over northeastern Maryland, Delaware, eastern Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Up to a foot of rainfall fell in some isolated areas in this region!, as this USA TODAY article explains.
