Alex nearing Carolina coast

Alex is now a hurricane, bringing heavy rains and strong winds to the Carolina coast. He will not affect our weather. The adjacent track forecast shows you where Alex will likely go, delivering a blow to eastern NC today before going out to sea. Watch the bands of Alex spiral in on this radar image. For us, just another humid day today and tomorrow, with a slight chance of storms in the afternoon and/or evening each day. I'm counting the days for the cooler and dryer air to arrive (probably Thursday night after a round of storms in the afternoon). It's like we've been living in a rain forest for the past 5 days.
