Alex recap, and weather for us...
Hurricane Alex, which reached Category 2 status, has come and gone -- and
produced a bit of flooding along the North Carolina Outer Banks. Photo courtesy Associated Press. Another
tropical depression has formed in the Atlantic. It also may intensify into a tropical storm and then hurricane (earning the name Bonnie), but
early guidance suggests it will not affect the U.S. mainland.
For us today, it will be quite warm (near 90) and somewhat humid -- fortunately, the chance of rain is low. Thursday, the chance of rain increases quite a bit as a strong front approaches. There is some potential that some strong/severe storms may form in the afternoon. We'll keep you posted.
