Monday recap; Tuesday forecast

Josh Larson @ 5:08 PM

Recap:
A very pleasant day weatherwise across the DC metro area on Monday, with mostly sunny skies, reasonable humidity levels (dewpoints in the low 60s) and temperatures just a hair below the average of 85/68.

Lows early Monday ranged from the mid to upper 50s in the suburbs to the low to mid 60s in town. (IAD recorded a low of 55 degrees; BWI a low of 57 degrees; and DCA a low of 63 degrees).

Highs Monday were in the low to mid 80s in most locations. (DCA recorded a high of 83 degrees; IAD recorded a high of 82 degrees; BWI's high of 88 seems suspicuously high to me, and may be erroneous.)

Forecast:
Monday night will be comfortable, though not quite as refreshingly cool as Sunday night. Expect lows to range from the low 60s in the suburbs to the upper 60s downtown under clear skies.

Tuesday should feature a tick more humidity than Monday (with dewpoints expected to creep into the mid to upper 60s) and perhaps slightly more in the way of clouds - though it will still be mostly sunny. Highs will also be just a couple of degrees warmer, in the mid to upper 80s. No precipitation expected.
