Glorious Week Ahead...

Jason Samenow @ 12:00 AM

Like cool, crisp mornings and warm, sunny afternoons? We've got it going on this week. High pressure will dominate the weather and provide for an outstanding start to fall.

Today -- a little chill in the air this morning with temperatures in the 40s in the suburbs to near 50 in the city. By mid afternoon, temperatures will peak at around 72 degrees. It will be one of those days where it feels nice'n warm in the sun, but it a little cool in the shade.

After a crisp start (lows 45-55), tomorrow will be like today, just 5 degrees or so warmer for a high.

By Wednesday and lasting through Friday (at least), expect high temps from 80-85 and overnight lows from 54-63 (lowest readings in the normally cooler suburbs). Humidity may creep up a notch, but will remain comfortable (in the moderate range, dewpoints from 55-60).

What about the tropics? Tropical Storm Jeanne has reorganized a bit, but is currently no threat to land. She's expected to meander east of the Bahamas for the next several days. After that, it's anyone's guess. We'll keep you posted.

Also, Tropical Depression #13 has formed well out in the Atlantic. It is expected to strengthen a bit and would become Tropical Storm Lisa if that happens.
