While reading
DCist, I stumbled upon the fact that CapitalWeather made
Washingtonian's "Best of Washington" issue (December -- available at news stands now). We're mentioned in the list of 'habit-forming blogs' and get this description:
CapitalWeather (capitalweather.com), run by EPA climate analyst Jason Samenow, calls itself the "power center for DC weather." Look for meticulous reports from experts on sunrises, snow, and tornadoes plus interviews with meteorologists and snowfall-prediction contests.
DCist is among the other blogs mentioned
in the article.
Speaking on behalf of the CapitalWeather team, we're pleased with the recognition but feel we can make the site even better. The "best" is yet to come as far as what we hope to offer here...
The weather will not be the "best" today as moist flow off the ocean keeps the clouds around. Like yesterday, some patchy light rain/drizzle is possible, especially late in the day. You may want to have the umbrella around. Temperatures will top out in the high 50s. I'll offer a complete outlook for tomorrow's big travel day in my next post...
