Thanksgiving week forecast

For today, a disturbance aloft will swing through, bringing considerable clouds...temperatures near 60 for the high. Tonight...there could be a few showers. Temps dropping into the high 40s.

We'll be in between systems on Tuesday. Expect a mix of clouds and sun with highs in the low 60s.

On Wednesday, we'll have deep southerly flow ahead of a strong frontal system. Temperatures will likely be quite mild, with highs between 65-70. However, the atmosphere could become unstable and showers and even thunderstorms may develop. With Wednesday being the big travel day, this will have to be watched. A good part of the eastern third of the US will likely have active weather. (We'll provide a full traveler's outlook in Wednesday's post)

On Thanksgiving, the cold front will clear early in the day when a few showers will still be possible. By afternoon, the sun should emerge, but it will be windy and temperatures should hold in the 50s.

Friday
will be mostly sunny, breezy and cooler, with highs around 50.
