The rain and wind yesterday were remarkable, and more characteristic of a spring-like storm than a winter storm. Dulles Airport set a daily rainfall record as 1.3" fell, significantly exceeding the previous record of 0.96" set back in 1963. Here are some other notable rainfall totals:
