Sunday update

Jason Samenow @ 12:33 AM

Expect plenty of sunshine, and conditions pretty similar to yesterday -- when the high reach 92 degrees at Reagan National. We'll be near 90 again today under mostly sunny skies, with "high moderate" humidity levels (sticky but not oppressive).

It will be a summery day at the Old Dominion Beer Festival in Ashburn. Be careful not to dehydrate yourself if you're downing some brews in the scorching sun tomorrow afternoon.

The tropical system we've been tracking has not held together. It will bring some showers and storms to the Carolinas today. And some of its moisture will increase shower and thunderstorm chances for us early in the coming week. More on the week ahead tomorrow.

Finally, don't forget about Tony Pann and Justin Berk's weekly weather radio show on WCBM 680. It's on at 3pm today and is a good excuse to come in and cool off.

NatCast
Nationals vs. Blue Jays, 1:05pm, RFK
It will be very warm and somewhat humid during game. Expect temps near 90 for the duration. Drink plenty of fluids and bring the sunscreen/hats.
