Snoozing Weather

Jason Samenow @ 11:05 PM

Forecast notes

If I could package today's weather in a bottle, I could sell it as sleeping medicine. In other words: anticipate a gray, dull day (not unlike yesterday). The morning will bring mostly cloudy skies with perhaps a sprinkle here or there, followed by scattered showers late in the afternoon. Highs should range from 81-85.

While I mention the possibility of some showers late in the afternoon, it will not be a washout. So for those of you headed to the Orioles-White Sox game at Camden Yards (game time 1:20pm) or taking in the Legg Mason Tennis Tournament, I think you'll be in fine shape.

Right now, it would appear Sunday morning will be cloudy with just a slight chance of some morning showers. The afternoon looks fine, with variably cloudy skies and highs in the lower 80s.

Did I mention that I was tired?

As I haven't gotten much sleep the last couple nights and am growing more tired with each passing minute, I can appreciate this article: The weather will be ... zzzz (Thanks to WxNation's Wire for finding this article)

Apparently, weather forecasters in Australia have been falling asleep on the job. This is one of the more funny pieces of actual news I've seen in a long time. Here are the first two paragraphs of the article:
A SLEEP warning has been issued to weather bureau forecasters after an apparent outbreak of snoozing on the job.

In a memo to staff, bureau chief Dr Geoff Love said "wilful and premeditated sleep" would not be tolerated during working hours.
Time for bed.
