Sunday update...

Jason Samenow @ 9:34 AM

An area of low pressure is moving northeastward along a stationary front situated to our south, helping to tap a bit of low level moisture over the area. This morning's fog will gradually lift, but mostly cloudy skies will remain during the afternoon. Still, we're likely to see some sun, particularly late in the afternoon. High temperatures should be in the mid 80s.

The early part of the coming week should be warm and humid, with temperatures in the low 90s. Complete details on the week ahead will appear in tomorrow's post.

In the tropics, the area of disturbed weather we've been watching as it's moved from the northern Lesser Antilles eastward towards Puerto Rico has not become better organized, and any development will be slow to occur. It's possible that the more important tropical wave is the one in the southern Lesser Antilles that will need to be watched over the coming days.
