Enjoy the warmth, while it lasts

Jason Samenow @ 12:00 AM

Our stretch of fine spring weather continues today, so get out and enjoy it. The latest indications are that this warmth isn't going to last and that we could well be in for a rude awakening later this week.

Today's Forecast

Morning clouds will gradually decrease as a warm front lifts into Pennsylvania. This will set the stage for a beautiful afternoon. Expect partly sunny skies with highs in the mid 70s.

Tomorrow looks to be downright warm -- with highs in the low 80s. But temperatures will turn significantly cooler by Wednesday, and the Snow Lover's Crystal Ball is back, back again. Tomorrow's post will feature the week ahead details, but you can scroll down for more on the slight possibility of some of the white stuff.

Snow Lover's Crystal Ball
Next Chance of Accumulating Snow: March 16-17
Probability: 20%
Potential Impact:
Commentary:80 on Monday and snow on Thursday night? You just never know, and it's not out of character for March. As Matt reminded us last Tuesday, 4 consecutive days of record heat in March of 1990 was followed by snow within a week.

This Tuesday, a low will develop in eastern Colorado and will basically move due east, approaching our region Thursday night. Enough cold air may be in place for snow, or a snow/rain mix. Temperatures will be marginal and the ground will be warm, so this doesn't look like a high impact event. More on this as it draws nearer.
