The
Storm Prediction Center (SPC) in Norman, Oklahoma just issued
an advisory about the possibility of severe storms this afternoon. The SPC has also indicated our entire region is under a
slight risk of severe storms. A cold front is sinking southeastward in our direction and the airmass overhead is warm, moist and unstable.
Storms are most likely to develop and affect the area between 4 and 8pm this evening--not everyone will experience them (30% probability/coverage)-- in fact, the activity looks to be scattered. Still, a few storms could contain damaging winds and hail. Please monitor the radar (below)
and, if watches/warnings are issued, they will appear in a box above this post.
