Spring Turns Cooler

Matt Ross @ 1:00 AM

Today we will see sunny skies with a cool northerly breeze and highs in the mid 60s. A cold front will pass through on Monday and there will be a better than 50% chance of some light rain and possibly a thunderstorm with highs in the mid 60s. Tuesday and Wednesday will bring seasonably cool temperatures with highs in the upper 50s and lows in the 30s before a rebound to seasonal norms later in the week. Our current average high temp is in the low 60s.

A Benign Sunday, Courtesy of Accuweather

March ended up finishing at 47.9 degrees or just over one degree above normal. Much more interesting, it set the record for the driest March with just 0.05" of precipitation for the month. This also places March 2006 among the top 5 driest months ever at National Airport(DCA). I will have more climo notes for Tuesday's post. Congrats to UCLA and Florida for convincing victories and to GMU for their inspirational play. Enjoy your Sunday.
