Heat and Humidity Building In

Jason Samenow @ 8:16 AM

Today

Forecast Confidence: Very HighVery warm, moderate humidity. As high pressure moves offshore today, heat will gradually build from the south and southwest. Humidity levels will rise some but won't be too bad -- with dewpoints in the low 60s. Afternoon highs will be right around 90 degrees with full sunshine. All in all, while warm, it won't be a bad day to be outside. See Camden's post from yesterday for weekend activities. Remember to wear sunscreen today as the UV Index approaches 9, which is very high.

Overnight, expect clear skies, with lows near 70 downtown and 65 in the suburbs. You may need to keep the A/C running...

Tomorrow

Forecast Confidence: Very HighHot and humid. As the high offshore promotes southwesterly flow, the heat and humidity will increase. Under partly to mostly sunny skies, expect highs of 90-95, with heat indices near 100 due to dewpoints near 70. There's just a 15% chance of a renegade thunderstorm to cool things off a bit.
