What once appeared to be a stellar weekend, now looks to be a mixed bag. While a cold front has cooled us down, we're left with plenty of clouds and somewhat unsettled conditions through Monday.
Today and tomorrow
The clouds should stay socked in for a good part of
the afternoon although some sunshine may well emerge late. High temperatures are likely to be in the mid 70s. It's not out of the question there could be a shower or thunderstorm this evening, but chances are low.Overnight, expect partly cloudy skies, with lows around 60 downtown and in the mid 50s in the suburbs.
Weekend Travel Advisory (courtesy Washington Post)Tomorrow, look for a mix of clouds and sun, with a slight chance of showers during the late afternoon and evening. Highs should be from 75-80.
Weathercaster Poll Update
The number of votes for favorite ex-TV weathercaster have surged over 1000. I've configured it so folks can only vote once. This begs the question: Are there coordinated efforts to vote for certain people as suggested at
DCRTV.net earlier in the week? Or are we just getting a lot of independent voters?
Several people, including one weathercaster himself, have written CapitalWeather.com asking why certain former weathercasters weren't included in the poll. Names mentioned include Jeff Gilbert, Hillary Howard, Willard Scott, Louie Allen, Allan Eustis, Dan Henry, Mark Phister, Tony Williams, and Jerry Brown. Any others I've forgotten? We may do another poll.
