The week's rain prospects: more bark than bite...
In the coming week, you may hear rain in the forecast quite a bit. However, not much rain is likely to actually fall from the sky. Temperatures will, by and large, be pleasantly cool for June.
Today
Kinda like yesterday. Low pressure aloft will favor the formation of clouds, but rain shower activity should be pretty isolated -- mainly south and east of DC. All in all, expect variably cloudy skies with highs in the mid 70s. Overnight, skies should be partly cloudy, with lows 55-60.

Probably nice. The day should start off partly to mostly sunny, but clouds will likely increase during the afternoon and evening as low pressure develops offshore. High temps should be in the mid to upper 70s. Overnight, the developing low may throw back a bit of rain -- but most likely east of DC. Low temperatures should be near 60. Rain chances are about 30%.
Wednesday
Iffy. Low pressure off the coast is expected to move slowly northward. I'm expecting mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid 70s. Most of the rain should stay to the east although confidence is only moderate. Wednesday night looks dry, with lows 58-63.
Thursday
Probably decent. Wednesday's coastal low will be well to the northeast and weak high pressure should be in place. Temperatures should be a shade warmer, with highs near 80 under generally partly sunny skies. Overnight, skies should be partly cloudy, with lows 60-65.
Friday
Late day showers/t'storms? A weak cold front will approach the area -- bringing a very slight risk of showers or t'storms late in the day. Most of the day should be nice, with highs in the low 80s under partly sunny skies. Overnight, fair skies are likely with lows 60-65.

More like summer? Weak high pressure will likely build in from the northwest on Saturday (although Friday's front could get hung up), offering the potential for a pretty nice day. High temps should be in the low 80s. Sunday may turn a bit more summery, with highs possibly reaching the mid 80s -- although a warm front could set off a shower or thunderstorm.
