Nice Day StampSunny and pleasant. High pressure over the Mid-Atlantic will bring beautiful sunshine and mild temperatures (about 4-6 degrees above average). The high should be near 70 -- with considerably lighter winds than in previous days. Tonight will be clear and crisp, with lows 38-46 (suburbs to city).

Forecast Confidence: HighA Treat: Very mild. Southerly flow ahead of the next front coupled with a good amount of sunshine should allow high temperatures to reach the mid 70s. Overnight, clouds will increase, with mild lows ranging from 45-50 (suburbs-city).

Wednesday


Forecast Confidence: MediumVariably cloudy, still warm. A cold front will pass through the region early in the day bringing clouds and just a 20% chance of a shower. High temperatures will be in the mid 60s to around 70. Overnight, clouds will decrease and cooler air will trickle in. Low temperatures should range from 40-47 (suburbs-city).

Thursday


Forecast Confidence: Medium-HighPartly sunny, brisk. Northwest flow will begin to funnel cooler air into the region. Look for high temperatures from 55-59. Overnight, it will be mostly clear and cold, with lows 32-37 (suburbs-city).

Friday


Forecast Confidence: Medium-HighBreezy, cool. As high pressure continues building in from the northwest, cool air will continue to stream into the region. High temperatures are likely to range from 49-53, under partly sunny skies and a steady northwest wind. Overnight, it will be clear and cold, with lows 28-34 (suburbs to city).

The weekend


Forecast Confidence: Medium-HighMostly sunny, cool. The heart of the cold area of high pressure is likely to affect the region for most of the weekend. As a result, despite plenty of sunshine, highs should only be 50-55 both days. Overnight lows should range from 28-35 (suburbs to city).
