There will be plenty of good weather to spread around this week. The only exception may occur late Wednesday into Thursday morning as a front comes through and produces a shower or two. As it stands, each afternoon should have sunshine and temperatures ranging from 65-85 depending on the day--details for which follow...

Today


Nice Day StampGorgeous. High pressure will build eastward, taking hold of the Mid-Atlantic. As a result, skies will be mostly sunny, with temperatures rising into the mid 70s. Overnight, it will be clear and cool, with lows 45-55 (suburbs-city).

Forecast Confidence: High-Very HighSunny and warm. Not so cold high pressure will be centered over the area. As a result we'll have sunny skies, calm winds and unseasonably warm temperatures, with highs 80-85. Overnight, it will be clear and comfortable, with lows 52-60 (suburbs-city).

Wednesday


Forecast Confidence: HighVery warm. The high will move offshore, and winds will turn southerly. Despite some high clouds moving in during the afternoon, temperatures will be very warm, with highs near 85. Overnight, a cold front will approach, resulting in increasing clouds and showers a good possibility (about a 50% chance). Lows should be near 60.

Thursday


Forecast Confidence: Medium-HighMorning showers, pm clearing? The cold front should pass through the area during the morning with a few lingering showers. By afternoon, the sun is likely to re-emerge, with highs near 70 under a brisk northwesterly wind. Overnight, it should be mostly clear and cool, with lows 43-50 (suburbs-city).

Friday


Forecast Confidence: Medium-HighCool. Canadian high pressure will build southeastward helping to cool us down. Despite more sun than clouds, temperatures will struggle to get out of the mid 60s. Friday night will be clear and crisp, with lows 38-48 (suburbs-city)

Forecast Confidence: Medium-HighModerating temperatures. High pressure will be centered over the Northeast on Saturday. We'll have light northerly winds and pleasant temperatures, with highs 70-75. Saturday night's skies should be clear, with lows 42-52 (suburbs-city). Sunday, as the high moves offshore, winds should turn southerly, with highs 75-80.
