2007 Eastern US Weather Conference

The 3rd annual Eastern US Weather Conference was held in Philadelphia this past weekend. Nearly 100 people attended the 2 day event. Highlights included a meet and greet with Accuweather's Joe Bastardi on Friday night, and Saturday morning's competing perspectives on climate change by WSI's Joe D'Aleo and GFDL's Keith Dixon. Philadelphia's own Glenn "Hurricane" Schwartz capped off the weekend with a presentation on the evolution of forecasting.

Tony Wood of the Philadelphia Inquirer was on hand to document the events. His recap can be read here. In addition to those in attendance, over 600 people streamed live audio/video to the comfort of their own homes, courtesy of Internet Partnership Radio. Check Pod Weather soon for a complete audio and video archive of all the workshops and presentations.
