Noontime: Looks like the clouds are outta here! Enjoy the beautifying afternoon and crisper air this evening. Boy will it be a nice weekend. Before we arrive at such a fantastic destination, we will have one last stray shower this morning, and clouds that may linger. A better afternoon...evening...next several DAYS, await.
Today
Eventually sunny. A pleasant afternoon. Breezy. There will be some morning clouds, maybe a shower? But look for sunshine in the afternoon along with breezy conditions at 10-20mph. High temperatures will try to hit 80. Low-80s are possible in the sunnier spots, and areas to the south of the city. Humidity will also be on the decline, making for a perfect patio-party recipe this evening.
Overnight, skies clear and breezes slacken. We are talking very nice. Lower dewpoints will also enable a noticeable decline in temperatures: 60 downtown, lower 50s for those with expansive, grassy backyards outside the Beltway.

Yesterday's sunrise at 14th&M, NW. A very picturesque, underrated downtown spot with great surrounding buildings. [A. Camden Walker] Saturday
Optimal Fantasticness. If you have grass, I am sure it is parched; but, for a moment look upward. See that cobalt blue sky? Feel that perfect mid-to-upper 70s, slightly breezy air? I am hopeful said breezes will allow for a kite to fly, and some of you I think like to sail? There should be a 10mph northerly wind most of the day. Oh and the mugginess will be LONG gone by today, thanks to our cold front.
Overnight, expect much of the same. Simply reduce the wind by a little and temperatures dipping down into the 48-55F range.
Sunday
A+++. I am seriously out of superlatives. Blue skies, light winds, and temperatures in the upper-70s sound juuuust about right. The humidity levels will remain low. Perhaps a dewpoint that will stay below 50F the entire weekend? I'd say Autumn has established itself, at least with continental airmasses possessing a much lower average water vapor content.

- Lorenzo strengthened to a hurricane overnight and is battering Mexico at a painful, slow, flooding pace. It has moved inland this morning, weakening into a Depression.
- Bangladesh is housing schools of the future(?)...on boats. Sea-level rise may already have spawned this new invention, out of necessity by those trying to remain living in the widespread mud.
