Sticky Saturday and a Stellar Sunday
Both days rain-free and in the 80s

Jason Samenow @ 1:00 AM

Each weekend day appears promising for outdoor activities, depending on the activity you're talking about. Saturday's humidity will be conducive to lazy options like laying out in the sun, while Sunday's drier air will make a strenuous game of tennis or a long run more tolerable.

Today

Forecast Confidence: HighVery warm and a bit muggy. Today will feel more like mid-August than late September. It may well be one of 2007's few remaining summery days. Expect partly to mostly sunny skies and high temperatures from 84-88. Factoring in the humidity, it will feel closer to 90 degrees. Winds will be southerly at 5-10mph. Overnight, skies will be partly cloudy as a weak cold front moves through the area. Low temperatures should range from 64-69 (suburbs-city).

Tomorrow

Forecast Confidence: HighWarm and not as humid. The cold front from Saturday night won't change temperatures much. However, the passage of the front will result in a change in wind direction (shifting to northerly), helping to lower humidity levels. Afternoon highs should be in the low to mid 80s under mainly sunny skies.

Briefly

  • TVNewser asks Fox 5 Weatherman Tony Perkins five questions.
  • Tropical Depression 10 moved inland near Fort Walton beach, FL last night packing little punch. It should gradually dissipate as it drifts west over the next couple of days.
  • Still no sign of a significant rainfall event. The area remains in a moderate to severe drought which may get worse before it gets better.
