2008 will start with a strong cold front followed by some of the coldest weather of this winter season to date. Temperatures through mid week will average near 10 degrees below normal.

New Years Day


Forecast Confidence: HighCloudy, Windy. It will start off cloudy today as a strong cold front passes through the region. A light shower or flurry can't be ruled out (20%). The sun will appear in the afternoon with winds becoming gusty out of the west. Highs will be in the mid 40s. It will be partly to mostly cloudy overnight with winds still very gusty and lows in the mid to upper 20s.

Wednesday


Forecast Confidence: MediumWindy, Cold. We will continue to see very windy conditions on Wednesday. There is a chance of some light snow/flurries (20%) especially in the morning. Highs will only reach the low to mid 30s. Overnight, it will be clearing and very cold with windy conditions persisting and lows in the upper teens to low 20s.

Thursday


Forecast Confidence: MediumSunny, Still Cold. Thursday will see some diminishing winds and clearing skies. It will remain cold with afternoon highs around 10 degrees below normal in the low to mid 30s.

A Look Ahead


  • Currently the weekend looks dry with moderating temperatures. Highs in the low 40s on Friday will reach the low 50s by Sunday.
